According to researchers from the University of Kentucky, Transcendental Meditation can help control high blood pressure. After practicing Transcendental Meditation, patients with high blood pressure saw noticeable decreases in their blood pressure levels. By practicing Transcendental Meditation, these patients not only lowered their blood pressure levels, but also lowered their risk for developing hypertension-related disorders such as some types of cardiovascular diseases. Some patients were even able substitute Transcendental Meditation for their usual blood pressure medications, many of which are associated with unpleasant side effects. Transcendental Meditation is the most effective non-pharmacological approach to reducing blood pressure.
