Reduces Blood Pressure Levels

meditation-image-56Researchers at Maharishi University’s Institute of Natural Medicine and Prevention and the University of Kentucky College of Medicine discovered that Transcendental Meditation is associated with reductions in blood pressure. After practicing Transcendental Meditation as part of the study program, participants showed decreased blood pressure levels and a reduced risk of other hypertension-related issues that can lead to cardiovascular disease. Researchers found that practicing Transcendental Meditation caused changes in blood pressure similar to the effects of changing diet or exercise routines. The study concluded that patients suffering from mild hypertension or prehypertension may be able to bypass blood pressure medications by regularly practicing Transcendental Meditation.
