Meditation Tip 3 – Incorporate Meditation into Your Routine

Despite your best intentions, sometimes you might simply forget to meditate. We understand—it’s all too easy to climb into bed after another exhausting day before realizing that you completely forgot to meditate. Luckily, combatting this forgetfulness is easy if you can attach meditation to one of your preexisting routines.

 

Consider setting aside 5-10 minutes for meditation just after brushing your teeth or showering in the morning. In general, meditating first thing after you wake up is ideal because it coincides with our body’s quieter rhythms and is a great way to start the day. If you choose to meditate later in the day, make it a priority, just as you would with an important meeting.

 

Remember, the numerous benefits of meditation outweigh many of the other less beneficial activities that we often spend our time on. Keep in mind that practicing in the same location and at the same time each day will allow you to incorporate meditation into your routine more smoothly.
