Meditation Tip 7 – Just Start

Finding the right posture, choosing the right location, creating the best environment possible: all of these activities are designed to enrich the self-awareness process offered by meditation. However, our efforts to improve our meditation experience can actually serve as distractions from the real purpose of the exercise—making space in our lives for silence and relaxation.


If you find yourself obsessing over the details associated with meditating or wondering whether your practice will be good enough, take a mental step back. At its core, meditation is about simplicity. Be still and breathe, that is all that is needed. Release your desire for perfection and just start. The rest will follow.
