Meditation Tip 9 – Say a Prayer Before You Begin

One of the simplest ways to get in the right frame of mind for meditation is to say a short prayer before you begin. Once you’ve closed your eyes and settled in to meditate, try speaking out to whatever greater consciousness resonates with you. Whatever your religion may be, you can benefit greatly from the rewards of prayer.


Saying a simple prayer before you begin meditating aligns you with your higher self and any higher power you believe in. In your prayer, you might ask for inspiration, seek a solution to a problem, or simply express gratitude for something positive in your life. Whatever your focus is, make the prayer sincere. Once you’ve shared it, allow yourself to sink more deeply into your meditation.
